Subject: Hello

Hi everyone. We hope you are all doing well. I just spoke with Shirley She is doing well but very busy. Kent is doing reasonably well and he too is very busy with three small children. We surely care about them all and offer our prayers. If we can help, I am offering help from us all to do whatever we can.

Fran is doing ok too. She sleeps quite a bit. Right now she is playing a game based loosely on Wheel of fortune. She will stop here before she goes to her own apartment. For the most part, she is doing well. We are thankful for that.

I am ok too. I have had a return of polymyalgia rheumatica consisting of extreme pain in my arms and hands. Erin, our medic gave me prednisone which takes away the pain almost magically. It almost immediately made a tremendous difference. Cousin John said, getting old wouldn't be so bad if it didn't hurt so much. He selfmedicated with the prednizone, taking enough so that he didn't hurt anymore. Otherwise I am doing well.

Now, the pickup, '73 Chev Cheyenne, 454 engine, passing anything on the road, except the gas station. It was parked at Jan's house under a tree with needles. The truck was filled with all manner of needles and leaves. I called Triple A to start the engine. He couldn't. The battery was ao completely dead that it would not wake up. So, he loaded it on his truck, took it to Lynden Motors . They worked on it today. It needed a new battery. He put a shut off on the battery so the battery can be unhooked from the electric system. Anyway the pickup runs again. It was powerful dirty. I took it to the car wash. They washed it. Now it looks pretty good again I went to the service station for gas. The Union 76 station sells real gas, no ethanol. Ethanol is a hoax. However the station was out of that gas. I put in $5 of the ethanol gas and will return tomorrow for the real gas. Now, I will try to clean the inside tomorrow.

All is well here at Meadow Greens. We see Brother Marv almost every day. This a blessing for which I am thankful. He is doing alright, but hie computer gives him a fit. Right now, it's back in the computer repair shop. Computers are wonderful but they do have problems which can drive an ordinarily sane person insane.

So, folks I am going to write a little more often Please respond if so moved.

Love to you all. Lou, Fran and for some old Dad
